Diospyros virginiana

Persimmon is a southeastern U.S. native tree that is easily recognized in winter by its unusual rugged, blocky bark. Female trees produce large orange-brown fleshy fruit that are edible after the first frost. Thick, dark green leaves turn a yellow fall color.  Native persimmon is not readily available in nurseries, but several selected cultivars are produced for their edible fruit.

Please note that trees, shrubs, packets, and products will not be delivered by mail unless "SHIP TO HOME" is selected at check out. SHIP TO HOME orders will be shipped around April 7th. Your order will be batched together and made available for pickup at a specified and location.

    Trees/Plants are primarily sold as Bare Root Stock. District Liability ceases when orders are picked up. Seller is not liable for improper handling or planting of plants after consumer has possession. The Blue Water CD is not liable nor guarantees survivability.
