Rose of Sharon is a hardy deciduous shrub. It is upright and vase-shaped. Individual flowers are short-lived, lasting only a day. However, buds are produced abundantly on the shrub’s new growth providing prolific flowering over a long summer blooming period. The Rose of Sharon requires ample moisture and some protection from midday to afternoon sun to flower at its best.

Leaves Coarsely-toothed, 3 lobed up to 4 inches long
Flower & Fruit Stunning large, trumpet-shaped dark pink flowers with noticeable yellow-tipped white stamens appearing in late summer to fall
Benefits Widely used as an ornamental attracting butterflies. Shoots make unique and striking indoor vase cuttings, as they stay green for a long time.

Trees/Plants are primarily sold as Bare Root Stock. District Liability ceases when orders are picked up. Seller is not liable for improper handling or planting of plants after consumer has possession. The Blue Water CD is not liable nor guarantees survivability.
