Nyssa sylvatica

The Black Tupelo is known for its glossy green leaves in the summer but stunning fall shades of reds, yellows, and oranges. The bark is unique as it furrows with age by getting an almost alligator hide texture. It is grown in Florida for bees to produce mild-tasting honey that fetches a higher price.
