Farm Bill Conservation Programs

A Natural Resource Concern is defined as an expected degradation of the soil, water, air, plant, or animal resource base to an extent the sustainability or intended use of the resource is impaired.

The 2018 Farm Bill was enacted in December 2018. The American Relief Act, 2025, extended it for one year until September 30, 2025. Prior to the extension of the 2018 Farm Bill, the following programs through Natural Resources Conservation Service’s (NRCS) had statutory and funding authorization through the fiscal year of 2031 by the Inflation reduction Act of 2022:

  • Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP)
