Michigan Agricultural Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP)
What is MAEAP?
MAEAP is a voluntary, pro-active program designed by a coalition of farmers, agricultural commodity groups, state and federal agencies, and conservation and environmental groups to reduce producers' legal and environmental risks.
It teaches effective land stewardship practices that comply with state and federal regulations and shows producers how to identify and prevent agricultural pollution risks on their farms.
Our technician Tom serves Sanilac County has more than 10 years experience with area farmers in helping them to become MAEAP verified. Our technician Emily is our new MAEAP technician for St. Clair County and is excited to meet and serve producers in any way she can! Call our office to get in touch with Tom or Emily to set up an office or farm visit to get started!
