Pinus sylvestris

The Scotch Pine is also known as the Scots Pine.  A native species to Europe and Asia but it is most known in Michigan as a staple in Christmas tree industry.  It has a short, blue-green needles with an orange-red bark. It was a popular tree in Michigan’s Christmas tree industry and is a popular choice for traditionalists.
